A little belated but MessageCast was acquired by Microsoft a couple Thursdays back.

During the actual transistion the MessageCast team was heads down cranking away.  A process is similar 3 or 4 college finals due on the same day.  We were so focused and so close to the details making sure everything goes as smoothly as possible that I'm not really sure anyone had a chance to reflect on how far we have come in 2 1/2 years!  It has been a wild ride and we're only in like the 3rd inning...

There is an excitement in the air and I'm looking forward to the exciting times ahead...

Watch out, here we come...

We here at LiveMessage are trying something brand spankin new.  The first ever Alert Roll... 

What is an "Alert Roll"? 

Definition:  a·lert roll  - A list of sites that a subscriber can opt-in and select to recieve real-time update notifications when each site has been updated.    

It's similar to the "blog roll"... if you've been reading blogs you know what they are -- the really long list of links on the side of your favorite blog listing the author's favorite sites.  

This became really cool for me when I added PodCast sites.  I've found myself looking forward to these alerts so I can listen to the each show everyday.     For example, when Adam Curry updates the DailySourceCode, around 9am, I get an alert.  If I missed the alert, because I was away from desk or whatever, I check the "Alert History" tab (the bell) within MSN Messenger client to see if I missed it. Then when I click on the alert his show automatically launchs my Windows Media Player.

Couple of questions for everyone:

1. Any cool blogs, podcasts, vlogs, etc. where you would like to receive an MSN Alert when the site is updated?  (Maybe I will add it to my Alert Roll)
